The Human Resources Generalist implements Human Resource policies and programs as directed by the Human Resources Site Manager. This role primarily focuses on recruitment, interviews, background checks, onboarding, and training coordination for new team members. Additionally, this role supports with ensuring positive team member relations, investigations and general team member services for payroll and benefits administration.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Under the direction of the Human Resources Site Manager, develops and administers various human resources plans and programs for all site managers and team members.
  • Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and processes with the Human Resources Site Manager, and recommends necessary changes.
  • Conducts recruitment efforts for all exempt and non-exempt personnel, students, and temporary team members; performs background checks, and conducts new-team member orientations as needed. Works closely with the Operations training team for effective scheduling of Operations training.
  • Conducts exit interviews to improve team member retention.
  • Supports managers and supervisors with effective team member relations counseling and performance management conversations.
  • Performs investigations to support positive team member relations and concerns.
  • Supports team members and managers with time- keeping or payroll administration or corrections.
  • Works closely with the site champions on general site activities.
  • Assists and learns to implements and update compensation programs; rewrites job descriptions as necessary; conducts annual salary surveys; and monitors performance evaluation program for the site.
  • Establishes and maintains department records and reports, and team member files.
  • Maintains company organization charts and team member directory.
  • Performs other incidental and related duties as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required
  • Two (2) to three (3) years Human Resources experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems
