An excellent opportunity has arisen to join the site leadership team of one the North West's leading manufacturers. As we continue to grow and expand our operations in Europe, we are now seeking an experience Financial Controller. Reporting to the General Manager, the successful applicant will have overall responsibility for the finance function including day to day management, financial reporting, budget preparation, general ledger accounting, inventory and fixed asset accounting.

Key responsibilities of the position include:

  • Provide tactical and strategic leadership in making sound financial and leadership decisions on behalf of the Company.
  • Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, variance analysis and payroll processing
  • Be responsible for the preparation and review of various financial plans to include the provision of recommendations to leadership teams.
  • Continually identify and drive cost improvements throughout the organisation
  • Be responsible for the various tax and secretarial filing requirements in a timely manner
  • Coordinate and lead all internal and external financial audits.
  • Be responsible for the management of all banking relationships to include treasury function.

Applicants must possess:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance - CPA / CMA / and MBA preferred
  • Professional qualification ACCA/CIMA
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in a senior finance role, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • In-depth knowledge of foreign currency accounting
  • Strong working knowledge of manufacturing accounting systems and particularly standard costing.
  • Know how to interpret complex financial information.
  • Have excellent information technology, communication and interpersonal skills.
