We have an opportunity for a Continuous Improvement Coordinator. The successful candidate should be prepared to help provide world-class products and service to a diverse customer base, including many leading medical device manufacturers.

Responsible for productivity improvement with particular emphasis on elimination of waste and increasing yields in manufacturing by facilitating the implementation of lean manufacturing concepts via production data collection and PDCA (Plan - Do- Check-Act) methodology. Develops a Continuous Improvement (CI) strategy for the organization, which mainly focuses on manufacturing processes but also has regard to inputs relating to, but not limited to, Occupational and Environmental Health & Safety matters.

Here are the Job Duties and Skills required:

  • Work closely with Company Management to develop a culture of CI throughout the organization; Deliver presentations to Company Personnel and Customers as required; Facilitate/lead cross-functional teams to develop root cause determination using Man, Method, Machine, and Material analysis
  • Work with Production Management and Quality Department personnel to develop KPI's (Key Performance Indicators) to include level I and II Pareto Analysis of scrap and defect information
  • Identify key Process Improvements for plant focused on productivity improvements
  • Conduct value stream mapping exercises to identify process waste. Work with Company Management to simplify and combine processes
  • Extensively use the A3 using the concept of "PDCA" Plan, Do, Check, Act, ensuring outputs are measureable and verifiable
  • Implement post completion audits to assure compliance and verification of improvements
  • Lead customer specific projects to meet Company/Customer requirements; Site visits to customers (as required)
  • Work across all Zeus sites with the Production Managers to ensure best practices are shared and lessons learned from other sites are applied in the manufacturing area; Interact with other Zeus plants on a continuous basis to understand and implement best business practice models; Site trainer for the various problem solving (FMEA, Fishbone, 5 Why's, PDCA, A3) methodologies to the site; Identify and contribute to Training Needs Analysis throughout the organization
  • Project leader role for specific CI initiatives within the manufacturing operations

Applicants must possess:

  • Degree in Engineering, Science or other relevant discipline
  • An aptitude for continuous improvement
  • 1-3 years of experience in leading shop floor continuous improvement activities
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

The ideal candidate will have formal training in Lean Manufacturing concepts
