General Summary:

A Senior Program Manager plans and manages a program's strategy and main objectives and assesses its impact on the company. They are responsible for coordinating multiple projects that are used to meet a program's main goals. A Senior Program Manager oversees the entire process and offers strategic guidance to Project Managers while ensuring proper communication between interdependent teams in the company. These professionals are essential because they create and manage long-term goals for an organization. Responsible for planning, leading, organizing, and motivating traditional and Agile project teams to achieve a high level of performance and quality in delivering projects that provide exceptional business value to users. Responsible for managing several concurrent projects using traditional and Agile methods in a fast-paced environment that may cross multiple business divisions. This leadership position focuses on ensuring strategic solution programs are delivered on time, within scope, budget and with quality.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Understand the relationships and impacts of programs and initiatives across business units.
  • Apply specialized knowledge of industry standards/practices to portfolio, programs and initiatives.
  • Demonstrate mastery of program strategy and execution within the business domain. Specifically with Agile, Kanban, Lean and Quality practices.
  • Perform Agile project management duties in support of the solution visions and scope defined by Business Analysts
  • Proven ability to prioritize and drive solution-centric efforts across a geographically distributed Agile teams of business and technology professionals.
  • Provide recommendations on complex program dependencies that could affect the success of other initiatives. Be critical of established processes and suggest relevant improvements.
  • Provide analysis and thought leadership on issues critical to the success of the business's strategic goals.
  • Understand your strategic partners' objectives. Advise on the necessary programs to achieve success and provide value to Zeus. Develop a roadmap or framework for those programs.
  • Drive strategic alignment across business units to succeed against company-wide goals.
  • Own business outcomes by working with business area leaders to influence strategy. Drive the adoption of new processes across the organization.
  • Deliver projects on time, on budget, on scope with high quality.
  • Development and execution of the project plan and all related tasks.
  • Coordinate internal resources and third-parties to achieve expected outcomes.
  • Establish, track, and report on project budget, project spend, resource allocations, and reserves; and report project delivery plan variances.
  • Continuously monitor, identify, evaluate, remediate, track, and report on risks and issues; escalates issues, risks, and performance variances in a timely manner.
  • Monitor progress, analyze project data and reports project status and disposition to mangers and stakeholders on regular and timely basis.
  • Effectively challenge, negotiate, and influence colleagues to produce value-add solutions that drive progress, and support the Firm's culture and strategies.
  • Have a direct and positive impact on a wide number of people and teams; be accountable for the work of other managers.
  • Oversee and be accountable for a portfolio of work that furthers strategic company objectives.
  • Assist IT leadership in identifying security concerns relating to new Business Analysis initiatives and keep security at the forefront when evaluating new solutions
  • Comply with company's Global IT Policies & Procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in a related field
  • 7+ years in Program / Project Management or related business experience
  • PMP Certified
  • Agile and/or Scrum Master Certification
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of leaders, subject matter experts, end users and developers

Desirable Qualifications

  • MBA or advanced degree in Information Technology
  • Experience working in multiple ERPs including Oracle, SAP, or other comparable systems
  • Knowledge of plastics industry
  • Ability to work well in a cross-functional team, listening effectively to others
  • Ability to multi-task, work on multiple projects, with good organizational skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft O365 suite including advanced collaboration tools like Project, Teams, Planner, To Do or other comparable applications
  • Well versed in development, deployment and management of Kanban boards
  • High level management and leadership skills
  • Ability to schedule and manage multiple tasks simultaneously and effectively
  • Conflict resolution and problem solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Cost control and budgeting skills
  • Experience coaching change agents/project leaders
