General Summary:

The Human Resources Site Manager implements Human Resource policies and programs as directed by the Director of Human Resources. The major areas covered are organizational planning, organizational development, recruiting, indoctrination and training, employee relations, compensation, benefits, safety and health, payroll, and employee services.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Under the direction of the HR Director, develops and administers various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel.
  • Plans, organizes, and controls all activities of the department. Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems with the Director of Human Resources, and recommends necessary changes.
  • Implements and annually updates compensation program; rewrites job descriptions as necessary; conducts annual salary surveys; and monitors performance evaluation program.
  • Develops, recommends, and implements personnel policies and procedures; and prepares and maintains handbook on policies and procedures.
  • Conducts recruitment effort for all exempt and non-exempt personnel, students, and temporary employees; conducts new-employee orientations; employee relations counseling and exit interviewing; writes and places advertisements.
  • Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings, such as seminars.
  • Evaluates reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
  • Establishes and maintains department records and reports
  • Maintains company organization charts and employee directory
  • Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

  • Equivalent to appropriate four-year college program
  • Manufacturing experience preferred
  • Five+ years Human Resources management experience
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Payroll experience preferred
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now a plus
  • Experience with Kronos Workforce Central a plus
  • Experience with Oracle HRIS a plus
  • Familiarity with applicable state and federal regulations
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities
