The Marketing Automation Specialist works closely with the Director of Global Marketing Communication and with all functions of marketing and corporate communications to develop and execute marketing automation strategies and email marketing campaigns to both internal and external audiences. The marketing automation specialist will be responsible to build, manage, and maintain campaigns which drive consistent and brand centric messaging using Eloqua platform in order to general demand, nurture leads through the sales funnel, integrate processes with our sales workforce and CRM platform, and deliver internal email communications to our team members.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Design, configure, test, and manage marketing automation infrastructure and campaigns that comply with data protection and privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
  • Collaborate with internal and external creative teams to bring campaigns to life, inclusive of providing design best practices for email templates and copywriting
  • Leverage responsive templates in email design for best user experience across all devices
  • Customize the marketing automation platform with advanced triggers, lead scoring systems, multi-touch nurture campaigns, profiling, segmentation lists, workflows and reporting
  • Oversee database integration between Eloqua, CRM, and internal systems to develop list segmentation and personalization strategies based on audience research across industry and customer targets
  • Manage lead submissions, monitor and maintain data quality within the marketing database
  • Measure results, and use data-driven processes to optimize the lead nurturing workflows to convert leads into customers and drive improved engagement across all campaigns and audiences
  • Identify, plan, and implement enhancements to increase lead capture, email database hygiene, and optimize email performance including reducing opt-out rates and increasing engagement
  • Continually evaluate and research new technologies, best practices and add-on applications to improve and optimize marketing automation campaigns
  • Document and prepare detailed and executive summary style reporting for stakeholder visibility of campaign performance

Minimum Qualifications & Skills

  • Demonstrated knowledge of email marketing best practices including design, deliverability, and data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
  • Expertise in marketing automation software Eloqua preferred
  • Excellent skills working with spreadsheets and database schema
  • Strong organizational, time and project management skills
  • Data-orientated mindset and ability to report on detailed metrics with attention to detail required
  • Capable of copywriting email campaigns
  • Naturally proactive self-starter with desire to take ownership of projects, work independently, anticipate needs, and think strategically
  • Strong computer skills - MS Office, Adobe Suite, etc.
  • Exceptional problem solving skills and experience in doing more with less
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Capable of or has working knowledge of HTML and CSS

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, digital media or equivalent
  • Minimum two years of experience with day to day management of marketing automation platform, Eloqua experience preferred
  • Demonstrated excellence in email campaigns and reporting
