General Summary:

This position supports the production process in an Engineering capacity.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Make and test prototypes.
  • Determine the optical, geometrical, environmental and mechanical integrity of components.
  • Be responsible for portions of development projects as assigned.
  • Make recommendations on product design, assembly methods, and tooling and be responsible for implementation of same.
  • Assist in writing assembly procedures and instructions for customer use.
  • Be responsible for meeting project milestones
  • Assist with resolution of design and manufacturing issues on assigned projects.
  • Participate in product conceptualization.
  • Train field engineers and production personnel
  • Help resolve any quality issues on products released for sale.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

  • Min. 5 years in manufacturing environment field.
  • 2 year Associates degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong process control background, including temperature & pressure controls, SPC and data analysis
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills in fast paced manufacturing environment
