General Summary:

Reports directly to the Corporate Director of Quality and is charged with providing technical and product support to both internal and external customers.

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical/product support to outside customers through conference calls and on-site visits.
  • Liaise between outside customers and corporate/site quality on technical and quality related issues.
  • Work with Field Application Engineering team to support customer yield improvement projects.
  • Oversee error reduction projects in Sales area.
  • Provide technical/product support and development to site quality as needed.
  • Provide training and development in the use of quality tools to site personnel as needed.
  • Provide guidance to Sales on technical issues and specification development as required.
  • Support Sales in Medical customer audits.
  • Support Sales with material composition reporting.
  • Support Sales with regulatory compliance reporting.
  • Represents Company on industry standards committees.
  • Develop and maintain quality contacts for Key/Corporate Accounts.
  • Work with sites to utilize a product quality lifecycle approach to proactively develop methods/systems to improve product quality.
  • Negotiation and sign-off of customer quality agreements, no change agreements and quality surveys.
  • Determine requirements and conduct site training for Supplied Data Portals.
  • Create and maintain customer test report template system.
  • Coordinate new raw material qualifications.
  • Coordinate raw material obsolescence projects.
  • Coordinate new site validations and qualifications with customers.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

  • Bachelor degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a technical role with relevant managerial experience
  • Leadership-agent to enable change; manage a diverse group or team; high ethical standards; professional; Must be able to work effectively in a team based culture
  • Communication'strong written and verbal skills; able to present complex issues and problems to widely different audiences'internally and externally
  • Analytical and Problem Solving Abilities-able to address complex problems from all functional areas of the co. to include operations, finance, client relations, regulatory, problem identification and resolution using data-driven and trend driven approaches(metrics)
  • Specific Skills- Operational Excellence Six Sigma methods and expertise; Statistical Analysis; Manufacturing. Formal training and experience in Statistical Process Control
  • Managerial-can organize and lead staff; Mentor and develop employees; Experience with report preparation, writing, and presentation; Organizational change management skills; strategic and tactical thinking
