We have an opportunity for an experienced Corporate Quality Engineer at our Orangeburg Facility. The successful candidate should be prepared to help provide world-class products and service to a diverse customer base, including many leading medical device manufacturers.

Here are the Job Duties required.

  1. Development and implementation of improved quality systems, including those to manage:
    • Customer complaints
    • Corrective and preventive action
    • Internal audits
    • Product certifications
  2. Maintenance of existing quality systems, including:
    • Quality inspection plans and records in the ERP system
    • Corporate internal audits
    • Quality performance metrics
    • Compliance to requirements of customers, Zeus procedures, and external standards
  3. Analysis of data to drive performance improvement
    • Monitor and analyze performance to objectives
    • Recommend areas for improvement      

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

  • BS degree in a technical discipline or equivalent industrial experience; Quality Engineering or Continuous Improvement experience preferred
  • Excellent personal computer skills, including Excel, Word, and Power Point
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data utilizing graphical and analytical statistical techniques; experience with statistical software such as Minitab preferred
  • Quality Management System process auditing experience, preferably ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485, and/or IATF 16949
  • Aptitude with databases and ERP systems
  • Logical, process-approach thinking and ability to apply it practically to quality and manufacturing processes
  • Good communicator who will talk to people to understand and address issues from multiple perspectives and facilitate solutions
  • Leadership skills to champion agreed-upon solutions
  • Desire to continually improve processes
  • Thinks through data analysis techniques and verifies results to provide valid conclusions
  • Considers the audience for recommendation
