General Summary:

The Engineering Support & Database Administrator will be an energetic individual who is technically sound in knowing and understanding basic engineering documentation principles such as file storage in a database, drawings, Bill of Materials (BOM), quotes, and other technical documents. They must also serve as the front desk attendant at the Frank P. Tourville Jr. Engineering Center of Excellence.


Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the main liaison between the Engineering Database (EPDM) and all EPDM users
  • Create new user accounts and manage existing user accounts for EPDM access and applicable permission sets, which is executed through the EPDM Admin console
  • Assist with various user based questions and problems with EPDM, which is executed through the EPDM Admin console
  • Responsible for organizing and executing engineering package(s) releases in EPDM that are created and managed by the Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering Group
  • Responsible for creating and executing all CMF Work Orders in EPDM required by the Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering Group
  • Responsible for creating and managing any specific technical document(s) required for Engineering Projects (i.e.: Equipment Operator's Manual, Equipment One Point Lesson, etc.) in EPDM
  • Assist with the creation and execution of preliminary IQ/OQ checklist for equipment before it is shipped to the designated Zeus site(s)
  • Work with Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering Team members for establishing project schedule, communicating project schedule changes/updates/conflicts, etc.
  • Responsible for circulating all ISO documentation to all Mechanical and Electrical Engineering team members for signatures/approvals
  • Interface with all incoming personnel at the Frank P. Tourville Jr. Engineering Center of Excellence, which includes but is not limited to, Zeus personnel, outside contractors, vendors, etc. for official sign-in and stated purpose of visit/business
  • Performs miscellaneous job related duties as assigned



Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

  • 2-year technical degree preferred
  • 5 or more years related experience
  • Highly energetic, self-motivated, and result oriented
  • Strong with Microsoft Office Suite and other PC based software (i.e.: Adobe Acrobat)
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills both written & oral
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment and/or database(s) a plus
  • Must function well within a team oriented organizational environment
