We have an opportunity available for a Safety Coordinator in our Branchburg, NJ facility. The successful candidate should be prepared to help provide world-class products and service to a diverse customer base, including many leading medical device manufacturers.

General Summary:

The Safety Coordinator will plan and implement environmental, health and safety (EH&S) projects and programs to prevent or reduce incidents and to help maintain a safe and environmentally sound workplace. In addition the coordinator will inspect, analyze, and monitor facilities, equipment, and processes to ensure compliance with government and company requirements, and help the facility to meet corporate audit requirements. The coordinator will also investigate incidents, prepare reports and maintain organized records. In addition, the coordinator will conduct safety training classes for employees and provide technical assistance to company departments, including compliance evaluation of production equipment and new or experimental processes.


Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ability to develop procedures to establish a safe work environment, recognize potential hazards in processes, materials, equipment, and facilities, and effectively balance operating requirements and safety controls
  • Location Safety Audits
  • Coordinate and/or Perform Safety Training for all employees
  • Head the Location Safety Committee
  • OSHA Compliance, including OSHA 300 and 301 logs
  • Accident Prevention, Investigation, and Reporting
  • Manage Worker's Compensation Claims
  • Maintain MSDS
  • Maintain OSHA program book
  • Facility/Physical Plant Safety
  • Environmental Compliance
  • Involvement with Property/Liability Insurance Policies
  • Loss Control/Minimization


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, occupational health and safety, science, or a related field
  • 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing or similar environment
  • Computer proficiency with MS Office applications (Excel & Word), e-mail, and Internet required.
  • High standard of ethical conduct and respect for confidentiality required
  • In-Depth knowledge of OSHA rules/regulations
  • OSHA 30-hour Certification a plus. Willingness to obtain this certification a must.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to execute the physical demands of the job, including climbing stairs, lifting up to 20 pounds, and other similar physical demands.
