We have an opportunity for PTFE Tool Designer at our facility in Branchburg, NJ. The successful candidate should be prepared to help provide world-class products and service to a diverse customer base, including many leading medical device manufacturers.

The Extrusion Designer will be responsible for designing / detailing our extrusion tooling for a variety of processes in extrusion of both thermoplastics and PTFE materials. They will be asked to work closely with Zeus' corporate machine shop as well as outside vendors , be solution oriented, and be very familiar with all manufacturing / fabrication  processes for intricate tooling.


Principle duties and responsibilities:

  • Obtain customer drawing , analyze and design extrusion tooling for manufacture
  • Oversee fabrication process timliness and inspect completed tooling
  • Work closely with manufacturing engineers and corporate machine shop personnel
  • Conceptualize non-existing processes and develop methods for testing feasibility / performance.
  • Recommend modification to tools based on trial results.



Knowledge, skills, and abilities required:

  • Strong Solid Works / EPDM background required.
  • Minimum 2 yrs work experience in Solid Works CaD/CAM/Solid Modeling
  • Ability to work with complex 3D model assemblies
  • Experience with extrusion or molding a plus
  • Minimum 2 yr. engineering degree
  • Very stong mechanically with exceptional troubleshooting skills.
  • Machining or tool background a plus.
  • Six Sigma Training a plus
