The Learning & Development Intern will provide administrative and analytical support to the Learning &

Development team, with a particular focus on new Leadership Development initiatives. In this position you will be responsible for tasks associated with Leadership Development program design and development, eLearning, instructor led training, program support, talent processes and metrics. You will play a key role in the overall success of the Learning & Development team. Highlights of your work with Mortenson will include:

  • Assisting with the design and implementation of various Leadership Development programs
  • Conducting research on industry standard methodologies and making recommendations to drive decision-making regarding learning content based on fit, reputation, and overall investment
  • Leading the research, design, and development of a front-line leader development program
  • Partnering in development of approach and content, as appropriate, for foundational Leadership Development programs that teach skills such as: emotional intelligence, conflict management, effective communication and influence without authority, etc.
  • Research and analysis of various personality assessments to make recommendations of a standard methodology approach to integrating assessment with leadership programming
  • Championing implementation of Inclusion and Diversity initiatives
  • Helping with integration of instruction and design into the design of Leadership Development programming
  • Actively supporting implementation and continuous improvement of various Leadership Development enhancement programs such as a blog, book club, and/or newsletter
  • Generating reporting and conducting analysis for the Learning Management System (LMS), onboarding, performance reviews, career discussions and others as needed
  • Assisting with Talent Management processes as needed including partnering on initiatives with:
  • Career Development
  • Performance Reviews
  • Talent Planning
  • Support ongoing Learning and Development initiatives and projects
  • Talent Management Systems
  • Assist with logistics coordination for Leadership Development events including:
  • Reservation of venues, rooms, equipment, catering
  • Participant coordination and communication
  • Materials prep

  • Are available to work full time in the summer

  • Possess strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Have experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Word, PowerPoint, Excel,
