                    Quality Engineer


Reporting to the Quality Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • Maintains compliance to customer requirements and certified quality standards.
  • Conducts process, product and system internal audits. Supports external audits from regulatory agencies and customers.
  • Investigates internal processing issues, customer complaints and manages any resulting CAPA's.
  • Leads process validations, capability analysis and measurement systems analysis.
  • Manages process/product transfers from other facilities
  • Designs and implements methods for process control and process improvement.
  • Implement programs to drive continuous improvement within the overall quality management system.

Essential criteria:

  • A degree in a Science, Engineering or Quality Management discipline
  • At least three years' post graduate experience within a regulated environment at engineer level.
  • Demonstrable experience of problem solving techniques and managing continuous improvement projects.
  • Proficiency in the use of statistical analysis including capability studies.
  • High Degree of computer literacy and report writing skills.

Desirable criteria:

  • Working knowledge of the QMS supplying either Aerospace, Automotive, Medical Device or pharmaceutical industries.
  • Audit Exposure to Regulatory Agencies or competent authorities (e.g. DEKRA, TUV, FDA, HPRA, MHRA, BSI, NSF)
  • Experience of Risk Management Principles and Techniques.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt Certified.
  • Validation Engineering Experience.
  • Conducting Investigations through Human Factors Approach.
  • Demonstrated Results achieved through variation reduction projects.
  • People Management or Daily Front Line Mentoring of Teams (Technical Focus).
  • Job Method Studies and/or Standard Work Documentation (TWI Standards)
  • Management of Calibration and Environmental management systems
  • Experience within industry in striving towards Operational Excellence Accreditation
