We have an opportunity for an experienced Jr. Design Engineer. This is an entry level position that will assist in machinery design activities at all Zeus locations. This position will also ensure that Zeus equipment is designed and built to high standards and utilizing as up-to-date technology as practical.The successful candidate should be prepared to help provide world-class products and service to a diverse customer base, including many leading medical device manufacturers.

Here are the Job Duties and Skills required

    • Assists in the design and development of tooling, fixtures, and machine components using 3-D Mechanical Design Software.
    • Perform all required duties for establishing a complete documentation package for all projects in the Engineering Database.
    • Identify and execute Engineering Change Orders (ECO's) for all required tooling, machine components, and system components in the Engineering Database.
    • Work with Senior Level Engineering staff for project support tasks that can include creating/designing sub-components, Bills of Materials, vendor consulting/RFQ, detailing drawings, project management, etc.
    • Assist with preparing and formalizing engineering estimates, scope of work, capital equipment bids, etc.
    • Assist with technical document creation (i.e.: One Point Lesson, Operation Manual) for various built equipment and systems.
    • Assist with in-field assembly, installation, and run-off of equipment
    • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology from and ABET accredited program
    • 0 2 years in manufacturing environment
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Working knowledge of 3-D Mechanical Design Software (SolidWorks preferred)
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • Working knowledge of databases a plus (SolidWorks Enterprise PDM)
    • Capable of performing troubleshooting skills such as problem identification, problem resolution, and problem resolution execution
